10 Habits to reach your personal success

To become a successful person, we don’t need to add anything to our life, but we need to eliminate some habits.

You will be surprised at how little rules everyone has to change in order to change habits can literally change the course of your life.

“When your last day comes to this earth, what you have become will meet who you could have become”

Although each of us has its own definition of success, there are some universal habits which, if stopped, can help you become a successful person. You can stop some of them today while it may take a few days or months for the others.

Successful peopleLet’s see together what are 10 habits to eliminate to become a successful person:

1. Stop having an unhealthy lifestyle
“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you can live “- Jim Rhon

If you intend to achieve the goals you set yourself, you must start here first. First of all, you need to take care of your health and there are only two things to consider:

A healthy diet
Physical activity
Small steps that will lead you to a better version of yourself with which you can congratulate yourself in the future.

2. Stop doing short-term goals
“You will live only once, but if you do it right, once is enough” – Mae West

Successful people have long-term goals, while knowing that in order to achieve them, they have to set a number of short-term goals.

These beneficial habits don’t have to be something you will do but they have to be something you will be. There is a clear difference in going to the gym to show a physique sculpted on the beach and going there to have a trained physique all year round.

3. Stop being satisfied
“Those who are satisfied enjoy … so-so “- Ligabue

Your being satisfied will not make the world a better place and there is nothing good in diminishing so that those around you can feel less insecure next to you. We are born to shine, to be wonderful creatures, like children. It is not a characteristic of some people but of all and as soon as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give the opportunity to the people around us to do the same. When we free ourselves from our fears, our presence will automatically release others.

Those who do not risk will not rosy, if we do not let our dreams come true, you will never demonstrate your true potential and the world will never benefit from what you could have done.

So give voice to your ideas, do not be afraid of failing and never be afraid of succeeding in what you want to become.

4. Stop telling yourself more excuses
“The important thing is not the cards in your hand, but how you play them” – Randy Pausch

Successful people know that they are the only ones responsible for their lives, regardless of where they start, what their weaknesses and past failures are.

When you realize that you are responsible for what will happen to you in life, you will be worried and excited at the same time. This is the only way to achieve success because excuses limit you and prevent you from growing personally and professionally.

Be aware of your life; nobody else will.

5. Stop being too uncompromising
“The future belongs to those who learn new skills and combine them creatively” – Robert Greene

Those who are very uncompromising often believe that their intelligence or talent are peculiar characteristics and that their talent is enough to create success – without effort. These people are very wrong. In addition, successful people are aware of this.

The latter invest a lot of time of their day in learning and developing new horizons, taking an interest in new skills and changing their perception in such a way as to have tangible benefits in their life.

Remember, who you are today is not who you necessarily have to be tomorrow.

6. Stop believing in the blue fairy
“Every day, in every way, I get better and better” – Emilie Coué

Easy success is an illusion.

Successful people know that small but continuous improvements will add up over time and this will help them achieve their goals. That’s why it’s important to plan the future, but the focus will be on the day waiting for you tomorrow.

7. Stop looking for perfection
Making mistakes is human” – San Girolamo

An existing product, tangible albeit with errors, is always more appreciable than a perfect job only on paper.

Nothing is perfect, regardless of how much we try. The fear of failure (as opposed to that of success) limits us from taking actions and promoting our creativity. We must always consider that many opportunities will be lost while we wait for the right moment to act.

So try, make mistakes and therefore improve.

8.Stop it with Multi-Tasking
“You will never reach your destination if you stop throwing stones at every barking dog” Wiston S. Churchill

Successful people already know this. That’s why they will always choose one goal at a time, whether it’s a business idea, a conversation or exercise. Giving body and soul to one task at a time is indispensable.

9. Stop needing to control everything
“Some things are in our power and some are not” – Epictetus

Having this distinction in mind is important.

Get away from what you can’t control and focus on what you can. Know that sometimes the only thing you will be able to monitor is your attitude.

10. Stop worrying about unnecessary things and people
“He who is content with little must sacrifice little; he who wants to have great results must make great sacrifices; he who wants to make himself better must make enormous sacrifices “- James Allen

Successful people know that to achieve their goals, they often have to give up something, whether it’s an activity, a request from a friend, family member or colleague.

In the short term you may not have instant gratification, but when the successes come you will understand that it was worth it.
