Positive thinking: 7 tips to start off a good day

7 tips positive thinking

How to start the day in the right wayand with a positive thinking?
The early hours of the morning are the most important of the day, because they inaugurate a new working day. For this reason, it is appropriate to face with the right spirit both the moment of awakening and the time immediately following that separates us from the time of the beginning of the work. Starting the day with a positive thought is an excellent help to overcome the difficulties and obstacles that arise every day during the twenty-four hours.

There are no negative days. There are only events. The “how” we react to these events changes our perception of the positivity or negativity of the day. It just depends on us! Our choice is “how to react” to the facts that life presents us day by day. In this regard, I suggest a series of techniques to make your every day more POSITIVE, more productive and more pleasant.

1. Wake up to positive thinking

The most difficult moment is waking up. We all know that sleeping is one of the most beautiful things in the world and if we are interrupted by the alarm clock while we are dreaming, we remain nervous and angry all day. For this reason, it is advisable to put beautiful music as the alarm sound, so that the crucial moment of awakening is not so traumatic.

2. Take the right time

We all know how difficult it is to get out of bed after a good sleep, but it is essential to try to set the alarm clock well in advance of the time scheduled for leaving home. In this way you have all the time you need to devote yourself: dress calmly, tidy up at home, maybe even do some small exercise.

Feeling good with your body leads to being peaceful and happy. It help positive thinking. In addition, if you have to travel a long way from home to work, listening to your favorite music or reading a good book helps to free your mind from thoughts and to give the right charge to face the daily work.

3. Use affirmations

Read and listen to “positive affirmations” so that you can start the day with a positive internal dialogue. Remember that the unconscious does not include “not”. If you say “I don’t want to be sick”, you don’t give yourself a clear picture of the state of health you want to enjoy. The unconscious will perceive only “sick”.

Say something positive like this: “I am starting to heal, today I feel a little more comfortable with my body, even my appearance is healthier”. Speak to yourself always formulating positive phrases. It begins like this: before formulating a sentence about something you would like to have and think you don’t have at the moment (eg health), start with this sequence of words: “I’m starting to improve my state of … … (health, financial well-being, work etc. etc.).

4. Have a good breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day; we can skip lunch but giving up breakfast is definitely not recommended. Even if we are on a diet, it is advisable to eat something energetic in the morning and not just take liquid substances, such as coffee, fruit juice or tea.
Eating foods rich in substance and energy, such as a chocolate biscuit, not only help you to physically load up to face the day’s efforts, but also promote good mood and positive thinking.

5. Develop Mindfulness

Mindfulness means paying attention in the present moment. Try to keep your attention focused always be careful to what you do, in the precise moment in which you do it. Avoid wandering with thoughts among a thousand worries, ideas and projects when you perform any task in the day but, on the contrary, focus on the present moment, on what you do at that precise moment.

6. Organize your day

Organizing a day is a tedious and tiring practice, but it is essential to face everything better. Starting with all the commitments divided by hours and places already in mind, or marked on the agenda, is fundamental to avoiding unexpected events and changes in the program that make us so nervous.
Of course, some small unexpected events can always happen, but it is always advisable to have an alternative or a “plan B” to be able to face them with a positive spirit.

7. Hang out with positive people

Surround yourself with positive people and mentors, people who have built a happy existence with their own hands, people who in all the difficulties of life always find time to smile to others, people who have managed to make their dreams come true. These people will help you stay focused on all the positive things in the world.
